Necessity is the mother of invention—English Story with Moral Lesson:
Thirsty Crow Story
On a hot summer day, a crow felt incredibly thirsty. He was in search of water. He flew here and there but could not find water. He was much stressed. At last, he arrived a garden. He looked everywhere and saw a pitcher of water under a tree. He at once happed towards it. He peeped into the pitcher. There was a short water in it at its base. He attempted to drink the water but was disappointed to discover the water needed to be higher.
He attempted to break the pot with its beak but could not. He pushed to go as in-depth into the pitcher as possible, but its beak could not touch the water level. Then he tried overturning the pitcher, but it was too much for his power. The crow was clever and optimistic. He began to think of new devices. He saw a heap of pebbles nearby. He hit upon a plan.
He picked up a stone and dropped it into the pitcher. He dropped some more stones one by one. The water rose a little. Then he fell more stones till the water level rose so high he could drink it. Thus he satisfied his thirst and flew away.
